An International Hotel Group with a base in the North is looking for a Banqueting and Room Service Manager.


Monitor the work sequences, taking account of the Service Standards, for guaranteeing a consistent and convincing service, before, during and after each event
Responsible for discipline, punctuality, correct appearance and good timekeeping of all Team Members
Monitor the proper ordering of all food and drinks required and their storage under clean and correct conditions
Obtain information daily on the occupancy of the hotel and the activities in the hotel
Check VIP set-ups and complementary bars
Share recommendations and guest comments to Chef and Food and Beverage Head to reflect current customer profile
Manage customer database effectively
Up-sell property facilities
Conduct monthly staff meeting to ensure all management projects, policies, new product, staff movement …etc are notified and documented. During this time, encourage comments and ideas from staff for the interest of room service department
Enforce cleanliness of Room Service area and kitchen equipment and maintenance
Make conversation to guests during their order and find out their likes and dislikes as well as building rapport
Maintain good relations with other members of Food and Beverage including Kitchen, Stewarding and Service Operations
Actively participate in departmental training and give support and feedback
Ensure sufficient operational equipment and linen
Handle guests complaints professionally
Works with Superior and Human Resource Manager to ensure the departmental performance of staff is productive.
Works with superior in the preparation and management of the department’s budget.
Demonstrate Awareness of policies and procedures and ensure all procedures are conducted safely and within stipulated guidelines and ensure your direct reports do the same

Month end reportsales mix
Any other duties that may be assigned by your Head of Department

Job Requirements:
- A minimum of five years experience in same profile or similar.
- Ability to work under pressure and irregular hours if necessary.
- Fluent in English and French.
- Well presented and well spoken.
- The right to live and work in Mauritius
