A luxury property developer with a base in Grand Baie is looking for an Accounts Officer.

Responsibilities

-Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department
-Type accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and records
-Prepare general ledger postings
-Reconcile accounts in a timely manner debtors, creditors etc
-Provide assistance and support to company personnel
-Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies
-Inform management and compile reports/summaries on activity areas
-Function in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable laws
-Reconcile fixed Asset Register to GL
-Prepare Accruals / Prepayment
-Post all cash book transactions on accounting system
-Assist the Accountant in preparation of monthly management accounts, quarterly accounts and yearly budget
-Liaise with Internal and External auditors. ---Assistance to Internal and External Auditors during Audits.

Qualifications and Requirements:

- Minimum of Level ACCA 1 completed.
- 3 years experience in a similar position
- -Fully computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
